Established by Engineer Sleiman Habib Haddad under the name of Bureau Ingenieur Sleiman Habib Haddad Etude Et Entreprise, the corporation was mainly specialized in public works and grew rapidly into a first class category corporation with a nationwide reputation.
In 2015 the corporation was transformed into a joint stock company under the name S.H.G. Engineering and Contracting S.A.L.
